The result of ceramics for introductory class, during which we learned the basics of plaster molds.

 

Initially we made a model of a vase, then a plaster mold for that model. After casting ceramics in the molds we practiced manipulating the material, creating unique vases that were all based on the original model.

The final exercise in the class was to pick a reference and to make parts and molds in order to turn the original vase into a teapot.
